A little bit about

When asked about how Brittany Christine Event Rentals + Design began she had to go back in time. The real beginning started even a few generations before. Both of her grandmothers were the instigators in Brittany’s love for vintage china. As a child, her grandma O’Reilly and grandma Jimmo’s love for collecting vintage dishes influenced her. They were all passed down generationally and carried a strong story of tying the Matriarchal family together. She happily shares about walking into her grandmother’s homes and seeing all of these amazing dishes and pieces collected and inherited over the years. When everyone sat down to dinner, she talks about feeling the connection between generations, thinking about all of the previous family members that had used those exact plates and it was those plates that hold some of her most cherished memories.

Jumping into adulthood, Brittany’s ability to throw together hugely successful events led her naturally to a career in event planning which lasted about 7 years. However, after some time, the non-profit world stole her heart and she dedicated herself to helping youth in high-risk demographics for 4 years.

The magic happened when Brittany got engaged to the absolute love of her life Nicholas Malcolm on mountain in Arizona and began planning her own wedding. She immediately began trying to find specialty items to make her wedding unique and true to her. One of the most memorable parts of preparing for her own wedding was hunting and gathering all of the special items that really showcased her character and the character of her husband. It really sparked her love of finding that perfect piece that was planted by her grandmothers and the women of her family before her.

After the wedding and a few long conversations with her husband, who was a major piece of the puzzle when launching this business, the concept for Brittany Christine was born! There was something about the process that past year that Brittany had fallen in love with and couldn’t let go. She decided she wanted to help others in their search and share some of her treasures.

It’s not just the items that you find at Brittany Christine Event Rentals + Design, but Brittany herself is there to assist clients in creating their vision. Her focus is on timeless table settings and customized decor to help set the mood of their event, wedding or small family gathering within their homes.

Brittany Malcolm is from Port Perry Ontario, just 30 minutes north of Bowmanville and although her life has taken her many different places, Port Perry has always felt like home. Her husband Nicholas and two sons Landen and Luka (Furbaby) are currently building their family home on Port Perry Island.
